๐Ÿคฏ Your Weak LinkedIn Headline is Destroying Your Job Search

You're probably thinking...

"Do 15 words really matter that much?"

YES.

YES THEY DO.

Your headline is THE most important part of your LinkedIn profile.

Recruiters will constantly search for keywords for your target role and you need them to be on your headline. Your headline follows you everywhere you go on LinkedIn.

So why haven't you updated it yet?

"I'm lazy", "I don't know how", "I didn't even know mine was bad"

Well I got you.

This will take you < 5 minutes. I promise.

Okay okay, I'm sure you have places to be (and so do I)...

So let's get to it.

๐Ÿ‘‡

1/ Why is Your LinkedIn Headline Important?

Your headline is (one of the) first things recruiters see on your profile.

It's THE most valuable space on your profile.

Yet 99% of jobseeker headlines are โ€œCurrent Title at Company"

Most Headlines Look Like:

2/ So What Does a Powerful Headline Look Like?

It includes relevant keywords for your target job and your value proposition.

Like this:

โ€œProduct Marketing Manager at Microsoft | GTM Strategy, Sales, and Product | I Create GTM plans for $100-500M SaaS products.โ€

3/ Identify Keywords for Your Target Job

Find 10-12 job descriptions. Copy them into either ChatGPT or Resymatch.

Ask for the top 4-5 keywords across the job descriptions.

Pick the 3 most relevant and add into your headline.

Want my Exclusive Gift?

4/ Identify Your Unique Value Proposition

Show your target companies how you can help them.

Ask yourself:

  • What type of companies do you help?

  • What do you help them with?

  • Can you quantify?

Example: โ€œI Create GTM plans for $100-500M SaaS productsโ€

Copy in your headline.

Get scored. Aim for 70 or higher.
