How You Can Land a Visa-Friendly Job
1. Pick a Visa Friendly Job Title
Immigrants make this mistake all the time…
They pick a job title that doesn’t offer visa sponsorship.
Technical jobs tend to offer sponsorship more often.
Jobs that sponsor more include:
Software engineer / developer, data scientist / analyst / engineer, program manager, financial analyst, business analyst, product manager, consultant etc.
Your next step is to apply to visa-friendly companies.
Here’s how to find them.
2. Find Visa-Friendly Companies
If you’re an immigrant in the US…
You’ll need to target visa-friendly companies.
There’s a few ways to do this.
Option 1:
Option 2:
Download H1B Chrome Extension
Go to LinkedIn
It’ll tell you whether they’ve sponsored in the past.
Option 3:
Go to aitou.io/
Filter for target job & industry (primarily data scientist / software engineering)
Option 4:
Go to myvisajobs.com/
Click H1B Visa 2023 Report
Filter by company, job titles etc. to find companies that sponsor
If you’re still struggling to find visa-friendly jobs…
Use the major job boards like Indeed, Monster, Zippia etc. and type “visa-friendly [insert job title]”. You (may) get some hits.
And if you have any (lingering) questions that you want answered in next weeks newsletter fill out this form.
